WayStar Group Opens a New Chapter in Logistics: Kazakhstan's First-Ever Train Loaded with Pelletized Meal in Grain Wagons Dispatched to China
WayStar Group has successfully completed a unique project for the market — for the first time in the history of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a full train loaded with pelletized meal in grain hopper wagons has been dispatched.
It is worth noting that the first trial shipments of this type of cargo in grain wagons were carried out in December of last year on a limited scale. The successful results of these pilot shipments made it possible to scale up the solution and move to full-route train operations.
As part of the project, a train consisting of 42 grain hopper wagons was assembled at the Semey station and exported through the Dostyk–Alashankou border crossing between Kazakhstan and China. The transportation was completed at a record pace, demonstrating a high level of operational efficiency and excellent coordination among all participants in the logistics chain.
The successful implementation of this project highlights WayStar Group's ability to introduce innovative logistics solutions and adapt transportation infrastructure to handle non-standard cargo types.
